THE JOURNEY
In my darkest hours the world strikes fatal blows. The storms rage crashes waves, tossing me lifelessly all around. I can only hold my breath for so long now.
Endlessly leaving me vulnerable as I'm left reaching, grasping, hoping to find something to hold on to.
As I let out my last breath just in time Jesus finds me and takes my shriveled hand from the waters and he leads me, swimming through the waves to solid rock so I can rise up from the storm and breathe in his Saving Grace. Not escaping it but restoring the hope that I needed to make it through to the other side.
Sometimes the waves are gentle pushes and others try to consume me. The amazing thing now is no matter how strong the storm becomes God is holding my feet on the solid rock—the foundation. He is securing me because I’m His now. He promises me I’ll never have to face those storms alone.
I can not say when the next storm will come but I can be sure that God has a plan that is not done.
